Texas notary fees are set by state notary statute (§406.024). The maximum allowable fees that a Texas notary or his or her employer may charge for notarial acts are listed below:

In addition to the prices for General Notary Services, the following travel fees apply for Mobile Notary Services
STANDARD TRAVEL FEE
20 miles or less = $25
Weekdays between 6am and 9am; between 5pm and 8pm, as well as Weekends = $35
Weekdays before 6am and after 8pm = $50
Holidays $50 (Christmas day, if available = $100)
TRAVEL FEE BEYOND 20 MILES
$1 per mile beyond 20 miles
Before/After hours and Weekends = Same as above
Holidays = $2 per mile beyond 20 miles (Christmas $5 per mile after 20)
LATE CANCELLATION/NO SHOW FEE
